The 8 Fundamentals of Fitness
Whether one is learning something new or improving on something known, success comes from knowing and implementing the fundamentals as consistently as possible. Here at Ampitude Fitness we train from the 8 Fundamentals of Fitness:
Balance - Not only the ability to stand on one leg, but also left side right side balance and upper body lower balance. As well as front and back muscle balance are critical.
Form - Proper form is necessary for injury prevention while resistance training. It is also beneficial in the effectiveness of all activitie
s.
Speed - The rate at which one moves during an activity.
Flexibility - Range of motion in the muscles and joints.
Strength - The ability to lift and/or stabilize and object including oneself.
Nutrition - Providing the body the proper raw material needed to perform all necessary and desired.
Endurance - The ability to perform physical activity for extended periods of time.
Recovery - The time given to the body for rest or required repair.
